I was tired of making meatballs once a week for my DH so I decided to take the meatball flavor and turn it into a burger! The result? “Delizioso!”
First you want to put the meat into a mixing bowl.
Add the following ingredients (you can always add more or less depending on your tastes) oregano, basil, salt, pepper, grated parmesan cheese, garlic and sauce.
Put your hands in and squish away!
Once the ingredients are combined form the meat into hamburger patties. I make these on the grill but go ahead and make them in a fry pan, grill pan or however you prefer to cook your burgers!
While burgers are cooking open your hamburger buns and spread some butter on the insides and sprinkle with garlic. Then put them in the oven just long enough for the butter to melt and the garlic to get to work!
Once the buns are done, put a handful (or slice) of mozzarella cheese on the bottom of the bun.
Place cooked burger on top and then take a tablespoon full of sauce and place on top of the burger (more if you like it saucy) then add the top of the bun.
Tastes like meatball heaven without all the work!
