This is a basic recipe that uses any white fish with a yummy tangy white sauce.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Place fish fillets in a 13×9 pan. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Layer with slices of onion.
In a sauce pan, stir together sour cream, cheese, and lemon juice. Once everything is melted and combined, pour over the fish.
Cook for about 45 minutes, depending on the thickness of your white fish fillets. When fish flakes easily, it is done. Any white fish will work. I’ve made this with halibut, tilapia, and blue hake.
