Description

Juicy chicken and a sweet and savory sauce! There are many versions of this recipe, but this is my grandmother’s and it has been in our family for years. It is so simple to make and special enough for company. Just add a nice tossed salad and some dinner rolls, and you’re all set!

Ingredients

  • 1 package (1 Oz. Packet) Lipton Onion Soup Mix
  • 1 bottle ( 8 Oz. Bottle) Wishbone Russian Salad Dressing
  • 1 jar (18 Oz. Jar) Peach Preserves
  • 1 pound Thawed Skinless, Boneless Chicken Tenders Or Chicken Breasts

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place the thawed chicken in a single layer in a baking pan (I use a 13x9x2 pan) or a casserole dish. In a bowl, stir together the Russian dressing, peach preserves, and onion soup mix. Pour the sauce evenly over the chicken. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through. We serve this with Rice a Roni chicken flavored rice, but I’m sure white rice would be delicious as well. Just as long as you have something to soak up all the yummy sauce!

Love this recipe. I’ve made it in the slow cooker and dutch oven cooking for camping. Love how tender the chicken turns out when you cook it those ways. Yum!
