I have made this recipe many times over the last year with great reviews from family and friends. I put all the ingredients in the Crock-Pot. When the meat is finished cooking, I have found that draining most of the liquid and adding back in Sweet Ray’s BBQ sauce makes the perfect consistency for our likes.
My family was also not a big fan of the coleslaw recipe and I have yet to find the perfect-tasting coleslaw so for now I eliminate that.

Made this in the slow cooker the other day and it came out great! I substituted Pepsi because that’s what we had on hand, but would like to try it with the Dr. Pepper next time. For the size of my pork roast 1 can would have been plenty. I used cole slaw mix and Marzetti’s slaw mix to save some time. Very good- and a hit with my picky husband and 6 year old daughter!

Ok I dont know what I did wrong I followed the directions but the meat was just ok and the coleslaw oh man it had way to much cider vinegar it was beyond sour. I tried to fix it by adding sugar and more mayo.Still on the search for an amazing pulled pork recipe.

I made this for dinner the other night and everybody loved it! I made the coleslaw, which I was nervous about, but it was great on the sandwich! I used all natural hamburger buns instead of the little loafs. I will make it again for sure. Thanks for the recipe!!

Wow – everyone LOVED this. It’s rare that I find a dish that all four of us equally enjoy, but this was it. It’s a cinch to make (I used my slow cooker) and absolutely tender and delicious. I used mostly Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce with a bit of Famous Dave’s Devil’s Spit mixed in for kick. We served it on untoasted golden hamburger buns from our grocery’s bakery. I liked the softness of the roll w/the crunch from the coleslaw – good combo. Thanks for such a great recipe! I can’t wait to make it again.

This was fantabulous!!! I will definitely make this again. I only did one thing different- I used a venison roast.

This recipe was amesome! Cooked in the crock pot all day and it was absolutely fantastic. i did have to cut down on the cider vinegar for the coleslaw but thats just a personal preference. i will definitely be making this over and over again!

My husband was very convinced you can’t make a pulled pork without a Boston Butt, but I was looking for something a little healthier and this was it! Delicious and a huge hit with all my Southern friends!! We did not use the slaw (though it looks good, too), but the meat was just fantastic. I would suggest using a peppery BBQ sauce (and not a sweet one) to balance the sweetness of the DP. Will definitely make again.

Served this several weeks back at a bible study dinner and they all told me I should open a BBQ restaurant! LOL! It was a hit! Thanks!

I made this recipe and my family LOVED it! I used chicken & rib bbq sauce. I also love the coleslaw. This is a keeper. I will make it again! I used my dutch oven for this recipe. The leftovers taste really good too!
