This pizza is so easy and I really just made it up one day because I had everything in my fridge and it all sounded good together! The ingredients aren’t written in stone so feel freel to add and take away as you like. My husband and I make this every Friday night and just LOVE it! Enjoy!
Note: I use Rhodes frozen bread dough because it’s my favorite but you can substitute any prepared pizza or bread dough. Or if you are all fancy, make your own!! And I use Bertolli Roasted Garlic Alfredo Pasta Sauce.
1.) Lay out your dough and let it rise according to package directings.
2.) Preheat your oven to 425 degrees and then slice all your veggies.
3.) Heat butter and olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Once hot add peppers and onions and saute for 10-15 minutes.
4.) Add mushrooms and saute for an additional 5-10 minutes or until all your veggies are soft and slightly caramelized.
5.) While your veggies are cooking also cook and crumble your sausage, drain if you prefer
6.) Roll out your pizza dough, place on a pizza stone or pizza pan coated in cooking spray and spread a couple of spoonfuls of Alfredo sauce over dough. You can really add as much or as little as you like, I like a lot so I really layer it on!
7.) Next layer on your pepperoni and then add the crumbled sausage.
8.) Now add on all of your caramelized veggies distributing them evenly over the pizza.
9.) Last top with both cheeses and bake for about 20-22 minutes or until golden brown!
I love this pizza, it makes me so happy, I will not promise it is the most healthy dinner but it will make your tummy jump for joy! Again add or take away as you like, I have also added green peppers to this and olives for my husband, really anything goes, have fun with it and ENJOY!
