Description

This recipe is so simple and can be made from items you have on hand! Sure to please just about anyone.

Ingredients

  • ⅓ cups Brown Sugar
  • ⅓ cups Water
  • ⅓ cups Soy Sauce
  • ¼ cups Vegetable Oil
  • 1 whole Salmon Fillet, Cut Into 4 Pieces Or 4 Center Cut Portions

Preparation

1. Combine ingredients in a bowl. Place fillets in a Ziploc bag and pour the mixture over them. Place in the refrigerator for at least one hour (3 hours if you can).

2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

3. Place the salmon on a baking sheet or pyrex dish (do not discard the leftover marinade) and cook it in the oven for 25 minutes or until the fish becomes flaky when you pierce it with a fork.

4. While the salmon is baking, heat the leftover marinade in a small sauce pan over low heat.

5. After the salmon is done, pour the sauce over the fish (it tastes yummy over rice, too).

I tried this recipe last night, and it was great! I am pregnant and am looking for quick and easy ways to incorporate some salmon into my diet. This fit the bill. I will definitely make this again, but will probably add some minced garlic and herbs to the marinade. Thank you!!

This is wonderful. The only change I made was to add a little garlic. Oh…and the left over marinade…I definitely BOIL it for a minute or 2 and then bring it down to low…for safety reasons. Great recipe -thanks so much!

It was very good. I don’t like soy sauce so I used teriyaki sauce.

I made this last night, and it was wonderful! I am pregnant and am looking for quick and easy ways to incorporate salmon into my diet. This fit the bill! I think next time I will add some minced garlic and fresh herbs to the marinade. It was great over rice too! Just make sure you boil the marinade before pouring back over the cooked fish. I will definitely make this again! Thank you!
