Description

Enjoy the unique Jamaican flavors in this delicious and flavorful Slow Cooker Jerk Chicken.

Ingredients

  • 5  Chicken Thighs, Skinless And Boneless
  • 1 cup Broth (chicken Or Beef)
  • 1-½ Tablespoon Olive Oil, Divided
  • 2 Tablespoons Jamaican Jerk Seasoning
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste

Preparation

Turn slow cooker or crockpot on high and add the broth.

Wash chicken thoroughly (I like to squeeze fresh lemon on it after it has been washed). Pat dry with a paper towel.

Heat about ½ tablespoon oil in a skillet. Rub chicken with remaining olive oil, then season with Jamaican jerk seasoning, salt and pepper.

Place chicken on hot skillet and cook for about 3 minutes each side. Transfer seared chicken from skillet to slow cooker and cook on high heat for about 3 hours.

Serve over a bed of rice and with some cold beer. Cheers!

Excellent recipe! I used 1/2 c chicken broth and 1/2 c beef bone broth from Trader Joe’s and then deglazed the skillet with the bone broth and poured it over the chicken in the crockpot. We put it over rice with some Trader Joe’s Sweet Chili Sauce. We also had Trader Joe’s Naan bread with it and cole slaw. I couldn’t find any Jamaican Jerk Seasoning at our grocery, which was weird, but I quickly Googled a recipe and it was AMAZING for this!! Here’s the link: https://www.tasteandtellblog.com/jamaican-jerk-seasoning-mix/ The two things I changed for the seasoning, were that I only did a couple of twists of black pepper, because pepper can made it really spicy and then I didn’t do crushed red pepper because there was already quite a bit of cayenne in it! Thanks for a great new dinner!!
