Description

The perfect dish for those who love spicy food!

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces, weight Fettuccine Pasta
  • ¼ cups Unsalted Butter
  • 1  Medium Yellow Onion, Chopped
  • 1  Medium Green Bell Pepper, Stem And Seeds Removed, Chopped
  • 3 Tablespoons All-purpose Flour
  • 1 Tablespoon Minced Garlic
  • ½ teaspoons Cajun Seasoning, Can Use More If Desired
  • ¾ pounds Peeled And Deveined Medium Size Cooked Shrimp(remove Tails Too)
  • 16 ounces, weight Smoked Sausage Ring, Chopped And Cooked
  • ½ cups Half And Half, Can Use More If Needed
  • 16 ounces, weight Package Jalapeno Flavored Velveeta Cheese, Cubed
  • Freshly Shredded Parmesan Cheese For Garnishing

Preparation

Bring a pot of well salted water to a rolling boil and cook the fettuccine to al dente according to the package directions. Drain, rinse well, and set aside to fully drain.

Meanwhile, in a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the chopped onion and bell pepper and cook until softened. Stir in the flour and cook for about 3 minutes. Add the garlic and cook another 2 minutes. Add the Cajun seasoning, shrimp and sausage and cook on a low simmer for about 5 minutes.

Add the half-and-half and cubed Velveeta, and continue cooking over low until the cheese is melted. Add the cooked and drained fettuccine and stir well to combine. Top with Parmesan cheese prior to serving.
