A favorite dinner entree made simple!
In a large saute pan, brown ground beef. Season to taste and set aside.
In a large pot, add oil and sauté onion until soft and translucent. Stir in garlic for a few seconds then stir in tomato paste. Whisk in chicken stock and add chopped cabbage. Bring to a boil, cover and lower the heat to medium low. Cook for 45 minutes.
Stir in cooked beef, cover and continue to cook an additional 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. If you’d like a thicker sauce, make a slurry by whisking together 1 tablespoon of flour and a bit of water and stirring it into the tomato sauce.
Serve over rice for a traditional cabbage roll flavor, or even potatoes or noodles.
