Description

This is a quick and easy Italian dinner. The warm and delicious soup paired with garlic bread and a salad can make a fantastic dinner.

Ingredients

  • 9 ounces, weight Frozen Cheese Tortellini
  • 2 cans (10 3/4 Oz. Size) Tomato Soup
  • 1 pint Half-and-half
  • 1 cup Milk
  • ½ teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Italian Seasoning
  • ½ teaspoons Dried Basil
  • 1 pinch Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • Shredded Mozzarella, For Garnish (optional)

Preparation

1. You need two kettles. In the first, make frozen cheese tortellini according to package directions. While the tortellini is cooking, put soup, half-and-half, and milk into the other kettle. Warm on medium heat.

2. When the tomato soup mixture is warm, add in all of the seasonings and salt and pepper to taste. Simmer the soup on low until the cheese tortellini is finished.

3. When the tortellini is done, drain and add to the soup mixture. Remove from heat, stir, and dinner is served. Top each bowl with some mozzarella, if desired.
