This is my take on a Philadelphia cheese steak, loaded with onions, peppers, sauce and cheese on a soft sub/hoagie roll. Oh my this is scrumptious!
You will need two frying pans (10″ diameter). In one frying pan add half of the canola oil. Add sliced onions and peppers and cook on medium heat. Add salt and pepper and cook until veggies are tender. Add tomato/marinara sauce to mixture, turn heat to a simmer and stir mixture together gently.
Open up the sub/hoagie rolls and set aside.
Open box of Minute Steaks and separate the meat from paper liners. Add remaining half of the canola oil to a second frying pan, over medium heat. Lay Minute Steaks on a cutting board and cut into bite-sized strips or pieces. Add pieces into the frying pan. This will cook up very quickly so stir frequently while frying. Once the meat is nice and browned add onion-pepper sauce into the cooked steaks and stir mixture well and simmer just a few minutes together.
Add half of the provolone cheese to the bottom of each sub/hoagie roll and place a generous portion of the steak mixture to the top of cheese. Dig in, they are messy and delicious! Enjoy!
