An easy and flavorful slow cooker meal! This is a crockpot version of the Hawaiian cooking method called Kalua.
Sprinkle and rub all sides of pork butt with sea salts and place in slow cooker. Add garlic and Liquid Smoke. Note, that this will seem like there is not a lot of liquid, but it is enough.
Put the lid on and cook on low for 12 to 16 hours. Since my slow cooker doesn’t go up to 12 to 16 hours, I started this before I went to bed, cooked it for 8 hours, then started my slow cooker over again in the morning, cooking for 6 more hours.
Remove pork from slow cooker and shred with forks. Serve and enjoy!

My Hawaiian sister-in-law taught me to make this, although she doesn’t use the garlic. It is amazing, delicious and disappears wherever I take it.
