These thick cut grilled pork chops are tender, juicy and jazzed up with a killer guava glaze.
Preheat one side of a propane grill to medium high/high heat and heat the other side to low. If using a charcoal grill, move the hot coals over to one side of the grill.
Add the guava jelly, orange juice, ginger, brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce into a small saucepan. Whisk to combine and bring to a boil over medium high heat. When it hits a boil, remove glaze from stove and reserve ¼ cup. Take the remaining pan of glaze out and set it by the grill. You’ll use it in a bit.
Season one side of the pork chops with salt and pepper. Lay the chops, seasoned side down on the hot side of the grill and season the other side of the chops. Close the lid and grill for 6-7 minutes. Then flip the chops and grill the second side for another 6-7 minutes.
Move the chops to the cooler side of the grill and brush with glaze. Grill 2-3 minutes. Flip the chops, glaze the second side, and grill another 2-3 minutes. Continue to flip and glaze until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 160 F, about 10 minutes more.
Transfer chops to a plate and let them rest for 10 minutes. Drizzle with the reserved glaze and serve.
