Description

This is the best Hawaiian barbecue! Add some macaroni salad and white rice and it is perfect!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Beef Short Ribs
  • 2 pounds Boneless Chicken Thighs
  • 1 cup Aloha Brand Soy Sauce
  • 6 cloves Chopped Garlic
  • ¼  Large Onion, Sliced
  • 1 cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 1-½ Tablespoon Chopped Fresh Ginger
  • ½ cups Butter
  • 5  Green Onions, Sliced

Preparation

Mix all ingredients except butter and green onions in a large resealable bag until sugar dissolves. Seal the bag and allow it to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, turning occasionally.

Turn grill to medium-high. When grill is hot remove meat from the marinade. Add meat to preheated grill, turning as needed. Cook for about 10 minutes for short ribs and 10-12 for chicken thighs or use a meat thermometer to check for done-ness.

While grilling, put a heat safe pan that’s large enough to hold all of the meat on the upper part of grill and add the butter. Allow butter to melt as the meat cooks.

When meat is done, add it into the pan with the butter and add green onions. Toss to coat completely. Enjoy!
