This pasta is creamy, fresh, and comes together in under 20 minutes!
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package directions. When done, drain the pasta and set aside, reserving one cup of pasta water.
While the pasta is cooking, place basil pesto, cream, lemon zest, and lemon juice in a skillet with deep sides. Whisk all ingredients together. Heat on the stove over medium low heat, whisking occasionally, until slightly thickened and warmed through. This should take about 10-15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste then remove from heat.
Stir the cheese into the sauce and then add the drained pasta. Toss to coat. If the sauce is too thick for your liking, thin it out with reserved pasta water. Top with more cheese if desired and serve.
