Description

Delicious beef caserole.

Ingredients

  • 1 package (12 Oz. Size) Wide Egg Noodles (No Yolks Work Best)
  • 8 ounces, weight Cream Cheese
  • ½ cups Evaporated Milk
  • 2 teaspoons Lemon Juice
  • ½ teaspoons Garlic Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • ½ cups Chopped Onion
  • ¼ cups Chopped Green Bell Peppers
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • 1 pound Hamburger Meat
  • 1 can (16 Oz. Size) Tomato Sauce
  • ½ cups Ketchup
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste

Preparation

Cook noodles and drain.

In a bowl, mix cream cheese, evaporated milk, lemon juice, garlic salt, and Worcestershire sauce together. Add cooked noodles and mix until noodles are covered with sauce. Pour into a greased 11×7 baking dish.

In a skillet, cook onion and green bell peppers in butter until tender. Add hamburger meat and cook until brown. Stir in tomato sauce and ketchup. Add salt and pepper to taste. Cook over medium head for 8-10 minutes.

Spread meat mixture over noodles in baking dish. (Do not mix noodles and meat mixture together.) Bake at 375ºF for 10–15 minutes or until bubbly.

Note: This casserole freezes well.

Very easy to make. Sprinkled a little mozzarella cheese on top. The fam thought it was tasty. I will definitely make again.
