Quick, fresh and yummy pork chops with apples and saurkraut. I usually find some higher quality German saurkraut in the jars or you can make your own, which really adds a lot to this recipe!
1. Heat the oil in a heavy skillet over medium heat.
2. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper and brown lightly on both sides.
3. Add the apples, sauerkraut, thyme, caraway seeds, apple cider and spread the apple slices across the chops.
4. Bring the liquid to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer. Cover and simmer gently for 25 minutes. Season to taste and serve hot.
