A Polish hug full of comfort and butter. There is nothing better than this on a cold autumn day.
Cook egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
While noodles are cooking, place butter in a medium-high skillet and melt. Add onion and cook for 4 to 5 minutes. Add cabbage and cook for 15 minutes. Add 1 teaspoon garlic salt and fennel seeds, if desired. Cook for an additional 15 minutes until onions are caramelized and cabbage is lightly browned and tender.
Add cabbage to the noodle mixture and stir to combine. Warm them together and add the additional teaspoon of garlic salt to taste.
Serve warm and enjoy. This can be addictive!
