Description

Sweet and spicy slow cooker barbecue chicken breast! Perfect on a bun or a burrito! I have mine with mango salsa.

Ingredients

  • 2 whole Bone-in Chicken Breast
  • ½ cups Ketchup
  • ¼ cups Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Dijon Mustard
  • 2 dashes Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • 1 dash Liquid Smoke
  • 1 Tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
  • ¼ cups Diced Onion
  • 1 clove Minced Garlic
  • ½ cups Chicken Broth

Preparation

Remove skin from chicken breast, but leave in bones to be remove later (they add flavor). Spray slow cooker with cooking spray and add all ingredients to your slow cooker. Cook on high for about 4-5 hours.

Remove bones from chicken with tongs (if it is done they should come out easily), and shred with 2 forks. Serve on buns or on tortillas!

Yes I have used boneless, too! Just check toward the end of cooking to make sure it doesn’t get too dry.
