A “throw it in before it goes bad and we waste it” kind of recipe that resulted in a very fast tender boar with gravy for a family meal.
1. Place pork and onion in slow cooker.
2. Mix remaining ingredients well in a separate bowl.
3. Pour over pork.
4. Cook on low/medium for 4 to 6 hours.
Note: Sometimes the juice is too thin to be considered a gravy. If so, thicken it up in the last hour by whisking together some corn starch and hot water and mixing that into the crock pot juice.
Serve over rice (brown, white or wild) with a side of steamed green vegetables (pan-seared fresh green beans tossed with cajun seasoning, or Lowry’s, is very good with this).
