A favorite breakfasts is smoked salmon, or lox, on a bagel with cream cheese, capers, and onions. This smoked salmon pizza has a similar flavor profile but also includes fresh lemon, fresh dill and smoked gouda cheese.
Preheat your oven to 375ºF. Place the pizza crust or naan flatbreads on a cookie sheet. Spray the crust/naan with cooking spray and toast in the oven for about 5 minutes, or until the edges start to brown.
Meanwhile, in a small bowl combine the cream cheese, zest, juice, and dill. Mix to combine. Taste for seasoning and add salt and pepper.
Once the crust has toasted, spread on the cream cheese mixture. Top the crust with salmon, gouda slices, shallots, and capers. Return to the oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese has melted. Garnish with extra dill, if desired.
