Coming home to a dinner that’s waiting for you is the best thing ever.
Combine sage, salt, pepper and garlic powder in a small bowl. Rub all over the pork butt. Place in your slow cooker and pour the water and Coke around the sides of it. Cook on low for 8-10 hours.
An hour before the pork butt is done, you want to make the glaze. Combine all the glaze ingredients in a small sauce pan and heat over medium-high heat. Continuously stir the sauce until it starts to thicken up. Glaze the pork 2 or 3 times during that last hour of cooking.
Once pork is cooked, remove from slow cooker. Pull out the shoulder blade and shred the meat to your desired consistency. Serves just like this or make a sandwich, using the extra glaze for your sauce.
