Description

Pizza plus grilled cheese equals awesome!

Ingredients

  • 15 slices To 20 Slices Small Pepperoni
  • 4 Tablespoons Butter
  • 6 slices Texas Toast Bread
  • 4 slices Mozzarella Or Colby Jack Cheese
  • ½ cups Marinara, More Or Less To Taste

Preparation

Heat a griddle to 350-375ºF, or a pan over medium heat.

Slice pepperoni in half. Butter four slices of bread and place two slices (butter-side down) on the preheated griddle. Layer cheese, a few pepperoni slices and a couple tablespoons of marinara. Top with a slice of (un-buttered) Texas toast, cheese, pepperoni slices and sauce. Top that with the last piece of buttered bread (butter-side up) and flip once the bottom is golden. Griddle until a golden crust appears and the cheese is melted. Cut and serve!

Laurie, I made this today and it was super yummy. I tried it with three Texas Toasts first and couldn’t seem to get enough heat to the very center so I just ended up making it with two pieces of bread but the flavor was fabulous. Just like pizza but crispy crunchy, just the way I like it. Thanks for sharing
