Description

A simple and easy sandwich perfect for soup and sandwich night.

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Mayonnaise
  • 4  Large Leaves Of Basil, Finely Chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Finely Chopped
  • 12 slices Italian Bread
  • 2 cups Shredded Asiago Cheese
  • 1 pound Sliced Deli Roast Turkey
  • 2 cups Fresh Spinach Leaves
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil, For Brushing Sandwiches

Preparation

Heat panini grill. Mix mayo, garlic and basil in a small bowl. Spread a small amount of the mayo mixture on one piece of bread. Top the mayo with about a 1/4 cup of cheese and two slices of turkey. Cover the turkey slices with spinach leaves and sprinkle with a little more cheese (this will act as glue to keep the other piece of bread from slipping off the sandwich). Spread another slice of bread with a small amount of mayo mixture and put on top of the sandwich, mayo side down. Brush the outsides of the sandwich with olive oil and grill in the panini grill for 3-5 minutes or until golden. Repeat with the remaining sandwiches.
