Easy recipe for the aspiring chef. Takes a little long to cook but the prep is perfect and you can cook it anytime. Great to prepare on the weekend and cook on a weekday.
Fry 1 1/2 lbs hamburger and 1 medium onion.
Cook 3/4 cup rice.
Place cooked rice in the bottom of a casserole dish. Pour 1 can peas (DO NOT DRAIN PEAS) over rice. Put hamburger mixture on top. Pour tomato soup over hamburger.
Bake covered for 45-60 minutes at 350 degrees (you’re only heating it up).
Season with salt and pepper to your liking.

This is an interesting variation on the Minnesota hotdish I grew up with and still use. I mix 1 pt uncooked Uncle Benss to 2 pts water ..add a can of mushroom soup…browned ground beef ( browned with celery and onion) add spices ( garlic-whatever handy) and mix. Add soy sauce to taste and bake. I am gonna try this one next..If I can write down the proportions I will submit mine too. Thanks
