Description

The best turkey burgers around, with celery to keep them moist and hot sauce to keep them flavorful. For the chicken wing lover.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Turkey
  • 1-½ teaspoon Poultry Seasoning
  • 1 Tablespoon Mccormick's Montreal Steak Seasoning
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Smashed And Diced
  • 2 stalks Celery, Finely Diced
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • ¼ cups Frank's Red Hot Sauce
  • ¼ cups Sour Cream
  • ½ cups Blue Cheese, Crumbled
  • 4 whole Favorite Burger Rolls
  • Lettuce, To Serve

Preparation

Mix the turkey, spices, garlic, and celery to combine, then form into 4 even patties. Prepare the grill for direct cooking over medium heat (350° to 450°F). Approximate grilling time is 12 minutes, doing about 6-8 minutes on the first side and 4-6 minutes on the second side. While the burgers grill, melt butter over low heat in a skillet large enough to accommodate all 4 burgers. Add Frank’s and whisk to combine. Once burgers are grilled, place the patties in the butter and Frank’s sauce and turn to evenly coat.

Combined the sour cream and blue cheese to form a thick paste.

Assemble burgers with rolls smeared with blue cheese, a saucy burger and leaf lettuce.

Note: Since there isn’t a binder in this burger, be gentle when grilling them or after patties are formed, freeze for 30 minutes to insure they hold their shape.

We loved this recipe at our house, although we didn’t melt the butter/hot sauce in a skillet – we’re way too lazy for that! So we mixed the two in the microwave and dipped the burgers that way.
