Not your McDonald’s chicken nuggets! Try them!
In a Dutch oven, heat about 3 inches of cooking oil over medium heat.
With a fork, mix the eggs with the milk in a medium bowl. Put the crackers in another bowl, and the chicken in a bowl as well. Now you have a sort of assembly line going.
Dip each piece of chicken into the egg mixture, then roll in the crushed crackers until completely coated. Place the coated nuggets on a plate.
Fry the chicken pieces in the hot oil a couple of minutes on each side, until golden brown. Drain them on paper towels, immediately sprinkling them with salt. Repeat with the remaining chicken nuggets.
You can keep them warm in a 200F oven while you fry the rest of the nuggets.
Make these next time you’re tempted to head to McDonald’s!

Thanks so much! My mom used to use the saltines when she fried fish…I figured it would work for chicken.
