It’s been a long time coming! Since launching Tasty Kitchen last summer, I’ve been working on getting the Tasty Kitchen blog up and running, so I can communicate with users more easily, highlight delicious recipes, and—the best part—feature the awesomely creative Tasty Kitchen members.
Members like Angie Arthur, who created the delicious Candy Cane Treats you see above. Give these yummy babies a try! Thanks, Angie, for the sharing this sweet treat!
I’m looking for recipes for all the little treats that creative folks put in Christmas treat baskets: cookies, candies, brownies, etc. Feel free to leave an idea (or link) in the Comments. There are some incredible goody recipes here on Tasty Kitchen!
Can’t wait to touch base with you more and more. I’ve been dying to brag on you guys.
Love,
Ree

What can I say???? I’m smitten with this whole Pioneer Woman Cookbook and blog. What a Hoot!!!
Ree your writing is fun to read and the photos are beautiful.
While reading your book last night,it made me laugh out loud,I have not done that with a book for a long time(funny stuff).
I’m a Michigan gal, went down to visit my Grandparents in Houston,I went into a Steak & Ale there in Houston and fell in love with a Cowboy and we are still going strong with 26 years of marriage under our belt. So I could relate a wee bit.
Keep up the good work, and thanks for the smile on my face!!

Kahlua Fudge is my specialty. It’s really just Fantasy Fudge with the addition of 1/4 cup kahlua.

Oooh, excellent!
Not necessarily a Christmassy treat, but definitely a holiday snack – I’m originally from the Netherlands where we celebrate a holiday called ‘Sinterklaas’ on the 5th of December, ie tomorrow! On that holiday we traditionally eat, among other things, tiny spicy biscuits called ‘pepernoten’. I’m making them as we speak and will be submitting the recipe with a picture as soon as they come out of the oven

Woo Hoo….a blog on Tasty Kitchen…how cool is this?!
Angie-your candy cane treats look SO good. I have a lot of holiday baking to do, so will be adding this goodie to my list for sure.
Here’s my hands down FAVORITE treat to make and give….it looks more time consuming than it is but the results are SO worth it.

Love all your sites Ree! Thanks for taking the time to entertain all of us!

I make these treats a lot at Christmas as well: https://tastykitchen.com/tasty-kitchen/recipes/desserts/saltine-candy-treats/ They look really cute in a cellophane bag with Christmas ribbon at the top. Enjoy!
