Description

A wonderful easy 3 ingredient jam that can be served on pancakes, sandwiches, oatmeal and more.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Strawberries, Fresh Or Frozen
  • 1 Tablespoon Sugar (if Strawberries Are Tart Add More Sugar)
  • 2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice, Fresh

Preparation

Put a plate in the freezer until you are ready to test your jam.

In a large bowl crush your strawberries and then transfer them to a large heavy skillet. Add the sugar and lemon. Turn heat to medium-high and stir. After about 8 minutes test your jam by placing a half teaspoon of the jam on the cold plate. Wait a few seconds, then look at it. If it is runny, then keep cooking your strawberries. Try again in another minute, placing another half teaspoon onto the cold plate. You need to do this until the jam is in a jelly form. Once it is, you are all done.

Place the jam into a jar or glass bowl with a lid. Cool on the counter then store in the refrigerator.

Makes 1 3/4 cups or 24 tablespoons.
