This soup is AMAZING!!! Incredibly delicious and hearty! I highly recommend making a double batch so you have an excuse to have an extra large serving, and plenty of leftovers! (And just for reference because I am ignorant when it comes to choosing wine, I used a brand called Barefoot that says “sweet red wine” on the label, and it was perfect.)

Amazing recipe! My husband commented that it was “the best soup he had ever tasted!” I’ve been forbidden from serving any other soup! 
It was super easy to make and the flavors were wonderful! Even my six and four year old gobbled up an entire bowl. Plan on making this again on Christmas. Wonderful dish, highly recommend it!

First soup I ever made… and it was delicious! My husband and I both loved it, and I’ll make it again. I’ve already recommended it to others!

Fantastic! fast, easy, and delicious! Also forgiving with substitutions: diced tomatoes for stewed, celery instead of carrots, orriecchetti for tortellini, splash of pernod for red wine. I will make this again and be sure to have the right ingredients on hand.

Soooo delicious. Left out the tomatoes (I’m not a fan…I’ll try them next time though, as I’m the ONLY hater in the fam!) and the wine, because I didn’t have any. Still, an absolutely fabulous soup. Husband loved it too. Thanks melissab!

Delicious! I substituted 1 tsp of Italian seasoning in place of the oregano and basil, but that is the only change I made. It was a perfect meal for a cold weeknight. Came together very quickly and easily. This one is definitely a keeper.

Delicious! Great for a cool day. I used celery instead of carrots, but I think I might use both next time.

OMG..if I could give this 10 stars I would!! Fantastic flavor and not one complaint from kiddos! I did not add carrots or tomatoes or there would have been complaints,lol! Must try!!

Wonderful soup – quick to whip up & very filling. Kids liked it (major feat). Served with french bread for dipping and it was marvelous.

I am loving this soup!!! I used fire-roasted tomatoes instead, and a dry pesto mix for the spices. My 5 year old loved it!!!
