My first time making my own broccoli cheese soup and it was awesome! I made the fully pureed version with sharp cheddar. Next time I think I will puree half and potato mash the other half so some chunks are left in the soup, but also have it a little thick. YUM!

I halved the recipe for my husband and myself. My husband thought it was okay, but he’s not a big fan of broccoli in the first place. I really liked it.
Next time I will thin the soup at the end with chicken broth because my version was pretty thick. I used my potato masher and it worked just fine to break up the cooked broccoli. I also used evaporated milk in place of the half and half because I didn’t have any half and half on hand. Next time I will cook the soup at a lower heat for 30 minutes because I had it on medium low heat for about 40 minutes and it was a little curdled.
I look forward to making this yummy soup again.

We all googled this up, including my 2 preschoolers. I used frozen broccoli (cheaper) and it worked just great! A good meal to get in your vegetables in a sneaky, tasty way.

Wonderful! I used a potato masher & cheddar cheese. I added chicken broth to thin it out. YUMMO!!

This was amazing! My husband declared it, “the best broccoli and cheese soup I’ve ever had.” I didn’t have half-n-half, so I used 1C heavy whipping cream and 1C water with a chicken bouillon cube. It was a hearty meal with a side salad and whole wheat french bread.

Delicious! I did have to add more cheese, sharp cheddar really helped give it a cheesy flavor that was absent with the called for amounts. Or maybe I just like cheese that much.

Wonderful Soup! I’ve made it a couple times now, and every time my family gobbles it up! Even my picky 2 and 3 year olds!
