Description

Inspired by Italy’s northern region this Tuscany cheeseburger will have you wanting more!

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces, weight Sirloin Ground Beef (90/10 Meat To Fat Ratio)
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • ¼ teaspoons Black Pepper
  • 3 Tablespoons Grated Pecorino Cheese
  • 4 slices Provolone Cheese
  • 2 whole Bun/Roll (Your Choice Or Favorite, I Like To Use Onion Rolls)
  • 4 leaves Lettuce Or Arugula (Your Favorite Green), Rinsed
  • 1 whole Sliced Red Ripe Tomato
  • 4 slices Purple Onion -thinly Sliced
  • 1 whole Ripe Avocados, Peeled, Pitted, Sliced
  • Use Whatever Condiments You Like

Preparation

Preheat grill or griddle pan on medium high heat and coat grate with cooking spray.

In a mixing bowl add sirloin ground beef, salt, pepper, and Pecorino cheese. With clean hands mix together and form two large patties. Add patties to the grill and cook 4-5 minutes on each side (or to your desired level of done). Add provolone cheese (2 slices per burger) the last minute of cooking time.

I like to toast my onion rolls on the grill, but that is optional.

Place a cooked cheeseburger on the bottom half of each bun, add 2 lettuce or arugula leaves, 2 ripe tomato slices, 2 slices of purple onion, and several slices of avocado. Use whatever condiment you’d like to coat the top bun, I just use mayonnaise on ours.

Place on individual plates and enjoy! Homemade french fries go great with this cheeseburger.
