Savory Golden Raisin Meatballs

Description
I know, I know, raisins in meatballs made me grimace at first, too. However, the slight sweetness of the meatballs pairs beautifully with the acidity of marinara sauce. Plop these meatballs into a big pot of spaghetti sauce, or line them in a piece of French bread for a meatball sandwich. So tasty!
Ingredients
- 1-½ pound Ground Beef
- 1-½ pound Italian Sausage (I Like Hot Sausage, But Mild Works Just Fine)
- ½ cups Grated Parmesan Cheese
- ¼ cups Golden Raisins, Chopped
- ¾ cups Yellow Onion, Finely Chopped
- 1-⅓ cup Seasoned Bread Crumbs
- 1 Tablespoon Italian Seasoning
- ¼ teaspoons Red Pepper Flakes
- 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
- ½ teaspoons Pepper
Preparation
Mix all ingredients together and form into 1-inch balls. Bake at 350F for 20 minutes.
