Description

I absolutely love meatloaf, but I am not one for chunky vegetables…in anything, actually. So I came up with this delicious recipe. Even my husband likes it – I hope you enjoy it too!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Beef (sometimes I Use 1/2 Beef And 1/2 Pork, But It's Up To You)
  • ½ cups Bread Crumbs
  • 1 whole Egg, Beaten
  • 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar (I Like Mine A Little More Sweet)
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Sage
  • 1 Tablespoon Parsley
  • ½ teaspoons Ground Mustard (I Usually Do Not Have This, So I Use Regular Mustard Instead)
  • Seasoned Salt, To Taste
  • Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • Ketchup

Preparation

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Combine all of the ingredients together, except for the ketchup (I find my hands the most effective tools!) If it seems a little too moist, I will add a little more bread crumbs. But you don’t want it too dry either. Form into a loaf and place into your pan. Squirt ketchup all over the top. Bake for approximately an hour to an hour and a half, or until done.

*Note: If necessary, you may need to drain some of the grease off midway through the cooking process.

Once it is done, remove and allow it to set for 5 minutes.

Slice and enjoy!

I made this tonight with grass-fed beef and it was delicious. Loved the sweet, brown sugar addition with the spices. I’m sure this will become a favorite in my house.
