Description

A yummy brisket recipe that anyone can make.

Ingredients

  • 4 pounds Beef Brisket
  • 2 Tablespoons Liquid Smoke
  • 1-½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1-½ teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Crushed Bay Leaves
  • 2 Tablespoons Chili Powder

Preparation

Rub the meat completely with the liquid smoke. Combine the salt, pepper, bay leaves, and chili powder.

Place the meat, fat side up, in a large roasting pan and rub with the dry ingredients. Cover the pan lightly with foil. Bake for 4 hours at 325F.

After roasting, scrape off any fat that is still on the top of the brisket and discard. Slice brisket thinly against the grain. Serve with your own BBQ sauce or smokey BBQ sauce. See my TastyKitchen recipe box for my homemade BBQ sauce!
