This is awesome! I don’t want to wait to make it again, but for the health of my family I won’t be making it regularly! Definitely a fun weekend treat though.

These were really yummy! Served them to my small group from church, and they received rave reviews.
I’m not a huge fan of gravy, but this was a treat.

This was wonderful! My husband loved it. The flavor of the hamburger was super. Thanks!

This was a really good homecooked, old fashioned type of supper for us. We really liked it. I made the fries into poutine and served the hamburger beside the fries and of course you gotta have a glass of coke with it or it just wouldn’t be right! Thanks for sharing this recipe!

This is fabulous in every way, and my husband and I already had it several times! The potato recipe is also perfect and simple and I use it quite a bit outside of this particular recipe, in other contexts.

Delicious! We had this for dinner tonight. I really loved the gravy. Next time I think I want to try to spice it up a bit, maybe add some creole seasoning instead of the seasoned salt- just to be different. We were very happy with it as it is!
Thank you, Alisha!

I made this last night for hubby and me (and my brother…he must have known something good was cooking and decided to show up! = ] ) and it WAS super! My fries were a little too done but that was my fault since I left them in the oven longer waiting on the boys to get back! Otherwise, everything was fantastic! I will be doing this again!

I made this last night and it was so good! Thank you for sharing the recipe– I know it will become a staple in our house. My husband loved it!

I made this last night and it was good, but we weren’t in love. I think it may have been better with some sauteed onions and peppers over the top.

I made this for lunch today, and it was really good. I had to take my fries out early because they were cooking faster, but I also have an old oven, so it might cook hot. Thanks for the great recipe, I will have to use it again.

Hamburgers frying, fries baking and fiancee waiting. Thanks for the recipe! From the smile on his face just smelling everything cooking, I’m sure we’ll have this more than once.

I’ve been to Murphy’s too. I think the covering the fries with gravy instead of bread would be a great choice. Thanks for the recipe.

I’m so glad everyone loves the meal and for anyone who was wanting my new blog page…it’s updated. Sorry for the mishap!

I surprised my husband with this recipe tonight. We ate at Murphy’s several years ago, and he has raved about the “gravy all over” dish ever since. This was easy and tasty–but I would use a little less salt as well. I got a little heavy handed seasoning the fries, so everything was pretty salty. I bought one of those handy french fry cutters not really expecting it to work that well. Wow–was I surprised. It’s a great kitchen gizmo!

We made this after we saw Ree’s post. It was YUMMY! I could not imagine gravy on fries, but it was DEE-licious! I seasoned the fries with garlic and onion powder, paprika and salt and sprayed them with organic canola spray to make things easier. I’ll be making this 2-3 times a month from now on!
