A form of spring roll popular in the Philippines and Indonesia, using easily available American ingredients.
Brown the meat in a frying pan. While meat is browning, add garlic powder, chili powder, and paprika to your taste. Then add bean sprouts, vegetables and water chestnuts. Let simmer a few more minutes. Spread the wrappers on the counter, and put about 1 tablespoon of the mixture on each wrapper. Wet sides of the wrappers and roll up like an egg roll. Fry for about 2 minutes on each side in hot vegetable oil (about 1 inch deep) until golden brown on all sides. Drain on paper towels and pat excess oil off.
Extras can be frozen and reheated in the oven for a quick lunch.
