Description

A delicious dinner that’s ready in a flash!

Ingredients

  • ¼ cups Butter
  • ½ cups Minced Onion
  • 1 clove Garlic, Minced
  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 2 Tablespoons Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 8 ounces, weight Sliced Mushrooms, Drained
  • 1 can (10.75 Oz. Can) Cream Of Chicken Soup, Undiluted
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 4 sprigs Parsley
  • 1 package (12 Oz. Package) Medium Egg Noodles

Preparation

Prepare noodles according to package directions.

Saute onion and garlic in butter over medium heat. Stir in ground beef and brown. Stir in flour, salt, pepper and mushrooms. Cook for 5 minutes. Stir in soup. Simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Stir in sour cream. Heat through. Serve over noodles with a parsley garnish.

Note: this can also be served over rice.

My family loves this recipe, and I grew up with my mom making it, too!

The only thing that I do differently is that I do not cook the onions/garlic in butter – I just fry them with the hamburger. Less fat in a pretty fatty dish

I didn’t have mushrooms or cream of chicken soup handy, but I did have cream of mushroom soup. May have been why I had to add a bit of other things to get the taste just right.

But we did love it, a great feel good dinner that only took half an hour to make. Thanks!
