Description

Beef in an Asian sauce, wrapped up in a lettuce leaf with lots of veggies and crunchy crushed peanuts.

Ingredients

  • FOR THE SAUCE:
  • 4 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Hoisin Sauce
  • 2 whole Limes, Juiced
  • 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Freshy Grated Ginger
  • 2 whole Cloves Of Garlic, Minced
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Sriracha Chili Sauce (optional)
  • 1 pound Strip Steak, Cut Into Thin Slices
  • 1 Tablespoon Peanut Oil
  • FOR THE WRAPS:
  • ¼ cups Thinly Sliced Green Onion, Divided Use
  • 1 whole Red Pepper Julienned
  • 2 whole Medium Carrots, Julienned
  • 1 cup Bean Sprouts
  • ½ cups Roasted Salted Peanuts, Crushed Or Chopped Coarsely
  • 1 whole Head Of Leaf Lettuce, Washed, Dried And Separated Into Leaves

Preparation

Mix together all of the sauce ingredients, add the beef and stir until coated. Heat a large pan or wok over medium heat, add the peanut oil and heat. Add the beef and sauce to the hot pan and stir-fry until cooked through and sauce is thickened, approximately 4-5 minutes. Remove beef and sauce to a bowl and garnish with one teaspoon of the green onions.

Serve beef alongside little bowls of each of the veggies, peanuts, green onions and the lettuce leaves so that everyone can make their own wraps the way they like them. Just wrap some beef in a leaf of lettuce and top with whatever toppings you like.
