Description

Apple butter doesn’t get much easier than this!

Ingredients

  • 5-½ pounds Apples Of Your Choice, Peeled And Diced
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoons Ground Cloves
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt

Preparation

Put apples in the crock pot. Combine sugar, spices, and salt. Pour over apples and toss to coat. Put on the lid and cook on high for 1 hour. After that hour, stir and turn heat to low. Cook for 9-10 hours, stirring occasionally. After 9 hours, the mixture should be browned and thick. To get the right consistency, stir with a whisk. Spoon into containers and seal or refrigerate.
