When a pizza and quesadilla love each other very much…
I’ll stop there. You get the picture. Pizza + Quesadilla = Pizzadilla.
Pizza is a specific craving of mine, but of course we can’t all eat pizza every time we want it (unfortunately). So, in an effort to make a healthy homage to my beloved Hawaiian pizza, I give you the pizzadilla. Enjoy!
While you’re building your pizzadilla, have the olive oil heating up in a skillet over medium heat.
On one half of the tortilla, layer on the ingredients in the following order: cheese, pineapple, cheese, spices and then the pizza sauce.
Fold the other half of the tortilla over and carefully place it in skillet. Squish it with a spatula to ensure that all the ingredients get friendly with one another. Flip a few times while heating over medium heat and remove if from the pan when the tortilla is nice and brown and the cheese is melted.
Cut into “slices” and scarf down with zero guilt!
