This isn’t just any hummus. It’s lemony, garlicky and very easily homemade. It’s the perfect dip for veggies, chips, pita bread or to spread on a sandwich to add a healthy burst of flavor.
Drain the liquid from the canned beans into a bowl and set aside.
Pour the can of beans into the bowl of your food processor. Add all of the remaining ingredients including 1/4 cup of the bean liquid. Don’t forget the salt. I almost forgot this ingredient! I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t almost forget an ingredient every time I make something.
Blend/process until the mixture becomes smooth and almost creamy. I went extra light on the oil. I did see many other recipes call for more. If the texture isn’t creamy enough I’m sure you could add another tablespoon or two. Just add it slowly and check as you blend.
