Description

Soft and sweet chocolate chip cookies, made with whole wheat flour and sweetened naturally with pure maple syrup. A healthy chocolate chip cookie that you can feel good about eating and feeding to your kids.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ¼ teaspoons Fine Sea Salt
  • ¾ cups Dairy Free Chocolate Chips
  • ¾ cups Pure Maple Syrup
  • ⅔ cups Canola Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350°F and line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper.

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and sea salt. Add the chocolate chips. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, canola oil and vanilla. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients in the medium mixing bowl and mix until combined.

Drop a tablespoon-sized amount of the cookie dough onto the baking sheet, leaving a bit of space between the cookies as they will expand. Continue to drop the dough to make 20 cookies. Bake for 8-10 minutes, until very lightly golden.

I never would have guessed these were healthy. They are so good! My hubby made them for me and used butter instead of oil. Worked great! Will definitely (get him to) make them again!
