Add some green to your holiday meal with this super quick side dish. Make it while you carve the turkey and high five to your health.
Preheat broiler to high. Arrange asparagus in one layer on a baking sheet. Place lemon halves cut side up on the same baking sheet. Drizzle asparagus with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
Broil asparagus for 5–7 minutes with the rack placed about 8 inches below the broiler. Check asparagus every few minutes and remove when asparagus is tender and just starting to blacken at the edges.
When asparagus is out of the oven, squeeze blackened lemon over top (use as much or as little as you’d like!) and serve immediately.
