Easy, flavorful and hearty.
Soak beans overnight and rinse and drain and put in the crockpot. Brown the meat (I used turkey) in a skillet and add to the beans. Add diced onion, fire-roasted tomatoes with the juice, chicken broth, diced bell pepper, sage, pepper, thyme, and salt in the crock pot. Stir and cook on high for 3 hours or until beans are tender.
Note: you can water if needed.
