Description

This sloppy joe recipe is made with the lonely ingredients found in the dark corners of my refrigerator. On a day when none of your scarce ingredients seem to fit together, give this flavorful meal a go.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • ½ pounds Lean Ground Beef
  • 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire
  • 3 cloves Minced Garlic
  • ¼ cups Yellow Onion, Chopped
  • 1 whole Tomato, Chopped
  • 1 whole Green Pepper, Chopped
  • ½ cups Ketchup
  • 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt And Pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon Steak Seasoning
  • Hamburger Buns, To Serve
  • Parmesan Cheese, To Serve

Preparation

Melt butter in a large skillet. Add meat, Worcestershire, and minced garlic. Cook on medium heat until beef is cooked through. Stir occasionally.

Add chopped onions, tomato and pepper. Let cook 5 minutes.

Add ketchup, brown sugar, salt, pepper, and steak seasoning. Let cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Serve over hamburger buns. Grate Parmesan cheese on top and enjoy!
