Tender herbed beef stew. Better the day after!
Cook bacon or pancetta in oil in large saucepan.
Shake beef cubes with mixture of flour, salt and pepper, oregano, and coat well. I put it all in a giant baggie and shake!
Brown beef, stirring a lot. Add onions and garlic.
Stir beef broth, wine, mustard, and brandy in a cup, and pour into meat sauce in the pan.
Heat on stovetop, or bake in oven at 375F for 1-2 hours.
Serve over egg noodles, rice, or potatoes.
