I was discouraged by other stuffed cabbage recipes because they wanted me to boil the head of cabbage and then blanch the leaves. I chose this recipe because it stated to put the whole head of cabbage in the microwave and then steam…which was so much easier. I decided to brown the meat and onion first, and then I combined all of the ingredients. Also, I didn’t have any brown sugar so i just added a lot of garlic instead. This recipe was easy and pretty darn good. My husband said that he liked the simplicity of it and he also liked the fact that he could taste every component of the dish…nothing was too overpowering. I will definitely add this to my rolodex!

I made this over the weekend. My husband & I loved it! I had to microwave the cabbage 6 minutes to get enough soft leaves. Then I wish I had baked it with foil cuz some of the tops dried out. But, the sauce is to die for! Absolutely a keeper!
