A great use for round steak, and my kids loved it, so that’s a big plus for me! I would have added a picture, but they disappeared too fast!
Pound round steak to tenderize. Cut into 1″ strips. Mix flour and seasonings (you can add what you like—garlic powder, season salt, etc.), then dredge steak strips in flour. Combine eggs and milk, and dip strips into this mixture, then back into the flour. Heat oil (enough to cover the bottom of your pan (I use my cast iron frying pan) and add the strips. Don’t overcrowd the pan. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown. Remove from the pan and drain on a paper towel-covered plate. At this point, I like to sprinkle them lightly with salt.
These are great served with a country style gravy for dipping. My kids seem to prefer them just the way they are!
