For a meat-and-potatoes kind of guy!
Place potato, ground meat, onion, spices and 1/2 cup water in a large frying pan.
Simmer until VERY thick, about one hour.
Spoon meat filling into the bottom pie crust and cover with the top crust.
Brush with the beaten egg and cut a steam vent.
Bake for 50 minutes at 350 degrees.
Serve warm.
